WealthTech Connect 2026 in Zurich: AI, Tokenisation and Cloud Sovereignty in Wealth Management

What remains of AI and WealthTech for Swiss banks? More than 150 decision-makers from over 70 companies sought answers to this question on 24 September 2026 at the SOHO Club Zurich. The WealthTech Connect 2026 brought private banking, wealth management and WealthTech to one table for a day, with six startup pitches, three panels and keynotes ranging from tokenisation to US politics.

WealthTech Connect 2026: The Industry Event for Digital Wealth Management

The WealthTech Connect is aimed at everyone actively driving digital wealth management forward, and is by invitation only. The hosts are fincite and Harvest Groupe. In its fourth edition, the event moved to Zurich for the first time. The idea behind it has not changed since the first edition: a day with a clear focus on wealth management, delivering ideas for the next working day and momentum for one's own strategy. The programme was presented by Nicole Nitsche, Managing Director of Payment & Banking.

WealthTech Startups 2026: Six Solutions for Banks and Wealth Managers

Six WealthTech teams kicked off the event, each with 15 minutes to explain their solution.

mesoneer: CEO Felix Wolfensberger presented a Digital Trust Platform that guides banks through compliant client onboarding, from identification to qualified electronic signatures. He also touched upon the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet).

PriceHubble: Dr Jasser Kassab, Group Director Enterprise Solutions, demonstrated in live demos how banks integrate real estate into the holistic wealth view of their clients.

Aisot Technologies: CEO and Co-Founder Stefan Klauser asked a question that concerns many in the room: Can AI agents be trusted in investment advice? His answer links trust to three conditions: precision, reliability and control. Ultimately, the responsibility lies with humans.

Adaptivv Financial Technologies: Co-Founder and Chairman Felix Fernandez Martinez showed how the FINMA-regulated ETH spin-off combines statistics and AI in asset management. At its core is a model that measures the stability of markets and derives allocation decisions from it according to fixed rules. Adaptivv uses AI in research to critically review and further develop this model.

GenTwo: CEO Philippe A. Naegeli spoke with Tom Lyons about why wealth managers are turning from curators into product creators. This is set against the backdrop of a market evolving into a buyer's market, and the continued rise of ETFs and passive investments.

Fume: Co-Founder Pablo Pfister brought AI agents into the fund back-office, where they take over manual data work. In a case study on position reconciliation, Fume reportedly reduced manual effort by 80%.

Cloud Sovereignty for Banks in the EU and Switzerland

How sovereign do banks need to be regarding cloud and infrastructure? This was discussed by Richard Hess (Head of Digital Finance, Swiss Bankers Association), Daniel Hasler (Senior Financial Services Technology Executive, Vontobel) and Daniel Caduff (Principal Security Assurance D/A/CH, Amazon Web Services). The conversation moved between regulatory pressure and hard infrastructure decisions. It was about the role of the technological supply chain, regulation and procurement, and frameworks that give banks guidance in their decisions. The debate is often conducted emotionally and politically, according to the consensus of the panel. Banks should therefore assess sovereignty soberly, as part of their risk management and with a view to what serves their own business.

Tokenisation of Real-World Assets: Where the Market Stands Today

The institutional perspective on tokenisation was delivered by Dr Alexander Bechtel, Global Head of Digital Products at DWS. He contextualised where the market for tokenised real-world assets stands today and what private banks should already be preparing for.
